From 1924 Six to Modern 300, Chrysler Celebrates 100 Years
Where exactly the Chrysler brand is heading today is hard to say, but we certainly know where it's been, with near-luxury sedans, sporty coupes, and an array of groundbreaking concept cars, reaching back an entire century.
The Detroit brand that not long ago had a vehicle for just about every market segment now offers but one vehicle in showrooms, the Chrysler Pacifica minivan. One could argue the malaise stems from a parade of five different owners since 1998 and all the gut-wrenching reorganization along the way, not to mention the 2009 bankruptcy.
As Chrysler celebrates 100 years on June 6, the automaker rolled out historic vehicles, such as an original 1924 Chrysler Six, at the recent New York International Auto Show.

Chrysler, the original 300, the Turbine and Dart concepts, assorted woodies, and the minivan, which was credited with saving Chrysler in the 1980s.
