Norway (1987)

Trude Stendal was the star of the show for Norway in the 1987 finals, scoring once in the semifinals against Italy and twice in the final against Sweden, which gave Norway a 2-1 victory and their first Women's Euros title.
West Germany (1989)

After scraping past Italy on penalties in the semifinals, West Germany demonstrated its dominance in the final against defending champions Norway. The West Germans fired in four goals past the Norwegians, with Ursula Lohn grabbing a brace in the 4-1 victory.
Germany (1991)

Germany defeated Italy 3-0 in the semifinals, setting up a final against Norway in 1991. The Norwegians forced the game to extra time, but goals from Heidi Mohr in the 100th minute and Silvia Neid in the 110th helped Germany claim the title.
Norway (1993)

After two defeats in the final, Norway finally regained the crown in 1993, beating Denmark 1-0 in the semifinals thanks to Anne Nymark Anderson and defeating Italy 1-0 in the final. Birthe Hegstad scored the winner in the 75th minute.
Germany (1995)

Germany beat England 4-1 in the first leg of the semifinals before a 2-1 victory in the second leg set up an incredible final against Sweden. Maren Meinert, Birgit Prinz, and Bettina Wiegmann scored Germany's goals as they beat Sweden 3-2.
Germany (1997)

According to the UEFA website, the tournament expanded from four to eight teams in 1997, with Germany advancing through the group with two draws and a victory to reach the semifinals. They defeated Sweden with a late goal in the semifinal and beat Italy 2-0 to retain the crown.
Germany (2005)

Germany was the outright dominant force in the 2005 Euros, having not conceded a goal in the group stages and winning all three games before humiliating Finland 4-1 in the semis and securing a 3-1 victory over Norway in the final.
Germany (2009)

Germany won all three group games again, including a 4-0 victory against Norway and a 5-1 win against France. After blitzing through the knockout stages, Germany showed their incredible level in the final, defeating England 6-2. Birgit Prinz and Inka Grings scored two each.
Germany (2013)

After winning one, losing one, and drawing one in the group stages, Germany beat Italy, Sweden, and Norway 1-0 to secure their most recent European Championship success. Anja Mittag scored in the 49th minute of the final to record Germany's eighth title.
Netherlands (2017)

The Netherlands ended Germany's long streak at the top of women's European football, securing their maiden title at home in 2017. After coming through the group unscathed, the Dutch beat Sweden 2-0, the English 3-0, and Denmark 4-2, with Vivianne Miedema scoring a brace.
England (2022)

England soared through the group, with an 8-0 win against Norway and a 5-0 victory over Northern Ireland. They left it late to beat Spain in extra time in the quarters before a convincing 4-0 win over Sweden in the semis. In the final, Chloe Kelly scored in the 110th minute to help England beat Germany 2-1.
