Top 8+ of the best Canadian shows to watch on Netflix

Hands up: When an American-sounding TV show comes out, how many of you just assume it was made in the US? From North American-style accents to indistinguishable locations, it's an easy (or perhaps ignorant) mistake to make. However, there are so many series out there that were actually written, created, filmed and produced in a completely different country. Yep, we're talking about Canada — a country in the North American continent but completely independent from the United States. Here, we take a look at some of the best Canadian shows available to watch on Netflix. See how many you just presumed were American (Picture: Netflix)

The Roses are forced to relocate to Schitt's Creek, a remote Canadian town that Johnny purchased for his son David's birthday in 1991 as a joke.
