2026 Lotus Eletre updated in Malaysia – new Eletre 600 lowers starting price to RM499k; Eletre 900 RM769k

After updating the Emeya several days ago, Lotus Cars Malaysia has now announced changes for the Eletre SUV. The brand’s first-ever electric SUV (hyper-SUV as the company calls it) now comes in five variants and has a starting price of RM499,000.

At a glance, here’s what the 2026 Lotus Eletre range looks like:

  • Eletre 600: RM499,000
  • Eletre 600 GT SE: RM569,000
  • Eletre 600 Sport SE: RM649,000
  • Eletre 900 Sport: RM769,000
  • Eletre 900 Sport Carbon: RM839,000

The new variant names are meant reflect their respective power output levels as part of Lotus’ global strategy to simplify and expand its product range. Lotus Cars Malaysia says the Eletre 600 is new to the range and serves as a more accessible point to the brand’s hyper-SUV. As such, it isn’t a direct replacement for the variant introduced last July, which was priced more like a toned-down version of the now defunct Eletre S.

All variants of the Eletre come with a dual-motor, all-wheel drive powertrain, with the ‘600’ suffix indicating 612 PS (603 hp or 450 kW) and 710 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the ‘900’ offerings serve up 918 PS (905 hp or 675 kW) and 984 Nm. A lithium-ion battery with a total capacity of 112 kWh (107 kWh usable) is standard across the range as well.

Performance-wise, the Eletre 600 cars will get from 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and hit a top speed of 258 km/h, while the Eletre 900 options need 2.95 seconds and max out at 265 km/h. Range figures for the ‘900’ cars go as high as 500 km (410 minimum) following the WLTP standard, with the ‘600’ cars offering between 530 and 600 km.

With an 800-volt electrical architecture, the Eletre supports DC fast charging up to 350 kW, which can get the battery from a 10-80% state of charge in 20 minutes when plugged into a charger capable of that power output; 22 kW AC charging is also supported.

In terms of equipment, the Eletre 600 comes standard with active air suspension and continuous damping control, 20-inch wheels, brake-type torque vectoring, LED matrix headlamps, a 15-speaker KEF Premium audio system, a 29-inch head-up display, four-zone climate control as well as a Jasper interior with LotusWear Performance fabric upholstery.

Stepping up to the Eletre 600 GT SE adds on the parking pack (autonomous parking assist and remote parking assist), larger 21-inch alloys, six-piston front brake callipers, an intelligent glass roof, hands-free functionality for the powered tailgate, configurable ambient lighting and illuminated side sills.

Going a step further to the Eletre 600 Sport SE brings the Lotus dynamic handling pack (active anti-roll bar and active rear-wheel steering), an active rear spoiler, soft-close doors and the comfort seat pack (ventilated and massaging seats).

As for the Eletre 900 Sport, it gets most of the 600 GT SE’s kit, but comes standard with the 600 Sport SE’s Lotus dynamic handling pack and active rear spoiler. The interior of the starter ‘900’ variant also follows a Quartz theme with LotusWear. The range-topping Eletre 900 Sport Carbon, as its name suggests, improves upon the 900 Sport by adding exterior and interior carbon packs, the comfort seat pack and soft-close doors.

Those interested in the 2026 Lotus Eletre can place a booking at showrooms located in Glenmarie, Pavilion Damansara Heights and Penang, with first deliveries expected to begin in September 2025.
