Top 5+ adorable dog breeds with Beards and Mustaches
1) Schnauzers

"Originating in Germany several hundred years ago, Miniature, Standard, or Giant Schnauzers tend to be gentle, playful and inquisitive dogs," says Gemma.
"They are full of personality, and like many dogs, need lots of physical and mental stimulation with plenty of exercise. They generally don’t shed as much as other breeds but do require regular coat maintenance.
"They will need a good brush two-three times each week, and they'll also need to be hand-stripped or clipped a couple of times per year. They naturally have a long-bearded face, which is often enhanced by a professional groomer."
2) Scottish Terriers

Scottish Terriers are another popular bearded breed, known for being bold and determined.
"They're recognized to be loyal and devoted to their family and generally get on well with other pets," Gemma tells us.
"Scotties need daily brushing and will also require hand stripping or clipping, roughly every two-three months. Similarly to Schnauzers, Scotties naturally have a long-bearded face, which can be enhanced by a professional groomer, to look even more beardy."
3) Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier

"Originally bred as all-purpose farm dogs, Soft-Coated Wheaten Terriers tend to be affectionate, gentle and playful. They generally like to please their owners but can occasionally be a little stubborn and headstrong," continues Gemma.
"They are typically friendly, trustworthy dogs that can get on well with everyone and generally make great family pets. Their coats require less cutting down than other breeds, but brushing is required daily to keep their coat in good condition, and trimming will also be required every so often."
4) Airedale Terrier

The Airedale Terrier is another bearded breed, famous for its facial hair. These dogs are hard-working, independent, and athletic with a lot of drive, energy, and stamina.
Gemma adds: "The beard does require a bit of maintenance to keep it in tiptop condition – a daily wipe down is important to prevent food debris building up."
5) Bearded Collie

"Descended from dog breeds used for working with sheep and cattle in Scotland, Bearded Collies — or 'Beardies' as they're more affectionately known — have a reputation as gentle, lovable, happy dogs who generally get on well with everyone," says Gemma.
"Beardies require daily brushing to keep their beautiful long coat in good condition. Each layer of coat, and not just the top coat, will need brushing to prevent matts from forming – this can be quite a time-consuming process, so lots of commitment and patience is needed! Many people prefer to ask a professional groomer to do this."
