The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is ending protections for about 500,000 migrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela under the CHNV program. President Donald Trump has acknowledged that the move could hurt industries like agriculture and hospitality. Trump noted that these sectors depend on undocumented labor, claiming that "changes are coming."

CHNV recipients are urged to self-deport with travel aid and a $1,000 bonus via the Home Mobile App. The Supreme Court upheld DHS’s authority to remove them and approved ending protected status for 350,000 Venezuelans.
