The all-new Aston Martin Vantage S has made its official debut just in time for this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, marking the first time that the "S" designation has come to the carmaker's "entry-level" offering since 2018. With more power, a refined and more focused chassis, as well as styling adjustments inside and out, this one has the chance to make that wait worthwhile.

While Aston Martin already gave the standard Vantage a 128-hp bump for 2025, it still managed to find 14 hp more to stuff into this new S model. For those keeping score at home, that now means an output of 670 hp in the smallest car in the lineup. The AMG-sourced twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 doesn’t pick up any additional torque however, retaining the same 590 lb-ft as the standard car.

That engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, which now features 10% softer mounts. Thanks to that added power and a retuned launch control setup, the Vantage S does lop off 0.1 seconds in the 60 mph sprint, with Aston claiming just 3.3 seconds. V-max remains a healthy 202 mph. New throttle pedal weighting and tuning promises to bring more engagement and responsiveness when unleashing that level of performance, as well.

The Vantage S also features several hardware and software based adjustments to the chassis. The easiest way to identify the car is via the full-width rear decklid spoiler, which works with a new underfloor to increase downforce at V-max to 245 pounds total. The Bilstein-supplied DTX adaptive dampers have also been reworked to bring more front-end feel through the wheel, while also improving turn-in. The rear has been slightly softened to help with low-speed comfort, and works with the softer mounts to reduce harshness.

Aston Martin has also given the Vantage S some unique styling cues, starting with the twin vents in the hood. The car will also wear a bespoke set of 21-inch wheels, as well as hand-crafted ‘S’ badging finished in brass. The interior is thoroughly enhanced for a range-topper, draped completely in Alcantara and leather. The detail work is rather extensive, with each embroidered headrest containing some 2500 individual stitches. Customers can also opt for either a red or silver rotary knob, which Aston says brings a bit of jewelry to the party. Overall, it's a rather handsome (if not subdued) update on the Vantage shape.

Order books for the Aston Martin Vantage S are officially open now, but don’t expect to see them around quite yet. The automaker says that customers can expect deliveries to begin during Q4 of this year. Pricing information isn’t available yet, but if you have to ask…
