In the global rankings of premier wine producers, Slovenia claimed 14th place. It had an impressive tally of 211 medals, including 14 in the categories of Best in Show and Platinum.

12. United States

The United States occupies 12th place among the world’s best wine producers. It earned 294 medals, including 20 high-ranking awards across the Best in Show, Platinum, and Gold categories.

11. New Zealand

New Zealand ranked 11th globally. It won 303 medals, with 26 of them in the prestigious categories of Best in Show, Platinum, and Gold.

10. Chile

Chile achieved 10th place in the global rankings for wine. It won 334 medals, including 25 top-tier awards in Best in Show, Platinum, and Gold.

Viñedo Escorial Organic Carmenère by Antiyal, La Causa Cinsault-País-Carignan by La Causa Del Itata, and Los Inquietos 02 Cabernet Sauvignon by Miguel Torres are some of the most acclaimed wines.

8. Croatia

Croatia came in eighth among the best wine-producing countries. It earned a total of 386 medals, including 15 in the Platinum and Gold tiers.

7. Argentina

Taking seventh place in the global wine ranking is Argentina. It won 428 medals across the board, of which 46 were awarded in the Best in Show, Platinum, and Gold categories.

6. South Africa

South Africa ranked sixth on the list, with some of the best wines produced in 2025. It won a total of 487 medals, which included 49 medals in the Best in Show, Platinum, and Gold categories.

5. Portugal

Ranking fifth on the list is Portugal. It earned 554 medals, including 52 awards across Best in Show, Platinum, and Gold categories.

4. Australia

Australia earned fourth place on the list of the world’s best wine-producing nations, winning 643 medals. It won 80 awards in the highest distinctions of Best in Show, Platinum, and Gold.

3. Spain

Ranking third globally for top-quality wine production is Spain. The country received 2,025 awards, including 105 medals across the Best in Show, Platinum, and Gold categories.

2. Italy

Italy ranks second on the list of countries with the best wines. It strengthened its position with 2,204 medals, winning 138 top-tier medals in the Best in Show, Platinum, and Gold categories.

1. France

Recognized for its exceptional winemaking, France was awarded the number one spot for the best wines in the world. It also won the most number of medals, a total of 3,220, across all categories.
