A huge discount chain is back from the dead with new store openings after previously announcing that every one of its locations would close its doors for good. Variety Wholesalers swooped in and agreed to buy a reported 219 Big Lots locations from Gordon Brothers - the liquidation specialists brought in to oversee the closures.
