Chile

Chile offers funding to startup companies who wish to start their journey in the South American nation. The program incentivizes businesses with up to US$80,000 in funding and a work visa for a year.
Ireland

Also, with its Our Living Islands scheme, the Irish government is hoping to populate and strengthen its 30 remote islands for an economic boost. To be eligible for the US$87,600 grant, applicants must purchase a house that was built before 1993, but has remained vacant for two years or more.
Iceland

Via Iceland's startup program, the island nation offers US$50,000 to people looking to start a business in the country.
Portugal

The Portuguese government is paying people to work in the inland regions of the country through its Emprego Interior MAIS scheme, which pays in grants up to US$5,240. The grants are also applicable to foreign citizens.
Japan

Japan's government offers a program called the Regional Revitalization Program, which provides funding and support to people who want to move to rural areas of the country.

The program offers a one-year visa and up to US$10,000 in funding to move there.
Spain

The biggest catch is that you have to legally bind yourself, and your family, to live in Ponga for at least five years.
Greece

The Greek Orthodox Church offers a house and a monthly grant of US$542 for three years to anyone who moves to the island. However, it's usually just offered for families as opposed to single individuals.
Canada

Canada will pay you to live there for 10 years as long as you maintain residency and file taxes. The only catch is that you must have graduated from a post-secondary school on their list of approved institutions.
United Kingdom

Despite having one of the best education systems in the world, the UK is currently experiencing a huge shortage of teachers. To fill the shortage, England is offering to pay £10,000 (US$12,699) to teachers who are planning to move there.
Austria

Under its Red-White-Red Card Program, Austria offers non-EU/EEA and non-Swiss working citizens a one-year visa along with financial support to move there.
Italy

There are several small towns in Italy that will pay you to move there. One is the southern town of Candela, which offers around US$870 for singles and around $2,175 for families to move there. The only catch is that you must move your permanent residence to the southern Italian town, have a job, and invest in a house built before 1991.
Croatia

Croatia is currently dealing with population decline in one of its rural towns, Legrad, and as a way to combat that, they're offering homes for around US$0,16. On top of that, they offer a contribution of $4,000 towards renovation costs, with certain eligibility criteria.
Mauritius

The island of Mauritius is offering around US$440 to start a business there. But to qualify, you'll have to have a profitable business plan.
South Korea, Vietnam, and Thailand

These three countries offer similar benefits and target mostly European and North American residents.
