Install a secure storage app

Having important documents at your fingertips can be really helpful, but security comes first. Before you snap any pictures containing personal/sensitive information, make sure you have a secure place to store them. There are a number of companies offering these services online.
Have your ID with you at all times

Take a picture of your passport, ID card, and/or driving license. Like your credit cards, having this information readily available can be helpful in a number of situations. Keep this safe, too!
Take a picture of your license plate

It’s safe to say that not everyone remembers their car’s license plate, let alone in a moment when we actually need to know it. A photo will solve this problem.
Take photos of your loyalty/membership/reward cards

Many times all you need is a number or barcode, so storing a picture of these will save you some space in your wallet.
Take a photo of your home’s WiFi details

Have your home’s wireless network and password ready to send to guests when they visit.
Take a picture of your pantry and fridge

Take a photo of your pantry and any other place you keep food, before heading out to shop for groceries. And, of course, taking photos of your fridge and freezer works to the same effect.
Take photos of books

Take photos of books that look interesting when you're browsing in bookshops. You can then look them up online (and maybe even find better prices) or check if they’re available at your local library.
Take photos of home decor and gardens

Inspiration is everywhere. If you see something you like, snap a picture of it. It might give you some new ideas for your own place!
Take pictures of your car rental

If you rent a car, take pictures of any damage it may have when you pick it up, and do the same when you deliver the car.
Take pictures of business hours

You will usually find this information posted on the door. Just snap pics of the places you regularly go to (e.g. local grocery store, post office, etc.).
Take a photo of your kids

Do so when you go to crowded places and big events where they can get lost for whatever reason. Having a photo will help you and others having an accurate description of what they look like and the clothes they're wearing.
Take pictures of your computer and printer

Having information about your computer and printer can be helpful. Snapping a photo of your ink cartridges can also be really handy.
Take photos of price tags and codes

Do so when shopping in stores that require you to do so. E.g. skip IKEA’s pencil and paper by taking pictures of the labels with the codes.
Capture a new recipe

Maybe you see an interesting recipe in a magazine, or perhaps it comes up while you’re watching TV. Snap a picture of it and try it later.
Take photos of toys and other things the kids like

Prepare for the holidays and birthdays by snapping pics of toys or other things the kids see and like.
