Bruce Springsteen movie starring Jeremy Allen White gets a Colts Neck teaser

Colts Neck, it's time for your close-up.

The trailer for the Bruce Springsteen biopic “Deliver Me from Nowhere,” starring Jeremy Allen White, will be delivered on Wednesday, June 18.

A Disney 20th Century Studios teaser was dropped at noon on Tuesday, June 17, and it shows a cassette being put into a tape player. The cassette reads “Colts Neck — Demo” and the song it plays is an acoustic version of “Born in the USA.”

The film, based on the book “Deliver Me from Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen's Nebraska” by musician Warren Zanes, is scheduled to be released by Disney's 20th Century Studios on Friday, Oct. 24.

The tracks for Springsteen's hit “Born in the USA” were created around the same time as the lo-fi classic “Nebraska,” which was released in 1982.

The “Nebraska” songs were recorded in a rented home on Swimming River Road in Colts Neck.

“It's about a very specific time in Bruce's life,” said White to the Associated Press last month. “It's a period in which he finished 'The River' tour and he's locked up in Colts Neck and he's writing 'Nebraska,' so it's him by himself there for a lot of time.

"It's about the writing process and the creative process. We finished it in January and Bruce was there a lot of time. Jon Landau, his manager was there a lot of time. They seemed happy and that makes me happy.”

Location filming for “Deliver Me from Nowhere” took place primarily in New Jersey, including shoots in Asbury Park and Freehold, over the winter.

White does his own singing in the film. Scott Cooper is the director.
