TNB Electron UNITEN Mosque is now online: free charging for a limited time

TNB Electron has activated its latest EV charger at Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) Mosque. Also known as the Lakeside @ UNITEN, the location is now one of the very few houses of worship in Malaysia that feature EV charging infrastructure.

Once again, TNB Electron has opted for a standalone Autel MaxiCharger DC Fast charger as the equipment of choice for its new deployment at the UNITEN Mosque.  Equipped with two charging nozzles, the charger has been set to deliver a DC charging speed of up to 90kW.

We were informed that the charger supports the dynamic charging feature. This means that its DC charging speed would reduce to 45kW if both charging bays are fully occupied.

Free charging until 21 August

In terms of pricing, the charging fee for the new TNB Electron UNITEN Mosque is RM1.50 per kWh. For now, the charger can only be activated through credit or debit card payment through the JuiceUp payment terminal located next to the charger.

TNB Electron is still working on the integration between card payment and mobile app, which is why the newly activated TNB Electron UNITEN Mosque has not yet appeared on the Go To-U app.

As per the tradition with most new TNB Electron sites, EV owners can utilise the TNB Electron UNITEN Mosque for free at the moment. This complementary access is available until tomorrow, 21 August at 11:59 PM.
