Go Auto Glenmarie is no more: Is Neta Malaysia still alive?
Go Auto Group has shut down its facility in Glenmarie, Shah Alam. It has been the home to Neta’s distributor in Malaysia, Intro Synergy, since the brand made its way to our market in 2023.
In early June, Intro Synergy announced its intention to restructure its operations. The move was done in line with the restructuring of Neta’s parent company, Hozon Auto in addition to “evolving market dynamics and global direction“.
However, it appears that the closure of Go Auto Glenmarie does not mean the end for Neta Auto Malaysia, though. Nevertheless, Neta’s situation in Malaysia remains rather murky for now.
Neta’s Glenmarie service centre has been relocated. But…

Go Auto Glenmarie - August 2025
We first noticed the changes after we stumbled upon a banner on the front gate of Go Auto’s former Glenmarie facility earlier this month. The notice pointed to a new location just a few kilometres away from the old facility, where Neta owners can obtain services for their EVs.
When we visited the new facility several times over the past few weeks, there was a roll-on/roll-off (RORO) bin in front of the facility. Hence, we are unsure if the new service centre is ready to serve customers, despite the banner stating that the new Neta service centre would be ready within the first week of August.
In addition to that, we didn’t spot any signboard at the premises during our visits either. That being said, we did notice a Neta V and two Neta X at the car park area, which we took as a sign that we were indeed at the correct location. Furthermore, we also spotted several Borgward and GWM cars, which were among the brands that have past histories with Go Auto.

As noted earlier, the closure of Go Auto’s Glenmarie facility also marked the end of operation for the ChargEV charger inside the compound. While the charger is still there during our visit, it has already been marked as unavailable in the ChargEV app.
We have no knowledge whether Intro Synergy have informed Neta EV owners regarding the new service centre in Accentra Glenmarie. According to SoyaCincau.com EV User Group member Uncle Sky, who is a Neta V owner, local Neta community members are generally not aware of the new location.
Go Auto Group’s main office is now in Elmina?

Go Auto Group Elmina Business Park - August 2025
Meanwhile, there was another remark on the banner that caught our attention as well: “All other matters have been moved to Elmina Business Park,”.
However, the banner did not provide the address to this particular premise. Our initial search has led us to a post on Go Auto Van’s LinkedIn page with a title that said “Goodbye Glenmarie, Hello Elmina!” which is how we ultimately learned of Go Auto Glenmarie’s closure.
We eventually found the address of Elmina’s facility on Go Auto Van’s Facebook page. While there was no signboard at the premises when we visited it on 4 August, we could spot various Higer vehicles in there, including electric vans that belonged to Gentari and Tenaga Nasional Berhad, but no Neta vehicles though.

Also visible were Prasarana Malaysia’s buses, although we are not sure if the units that we saw are part of the new diesel buses that Rapid Bus is planning to deploy in Klang Valley and Penang.
Higer is one of the two commercial vehicle brands that have partnered with Go Auto Group for the Malaysian market, with the other one being Yutong. Despite that, the 310 new Higer diesel buses for Rapid KL and Rapid Penang are assembled in Johor by Sun Bus Tech.

Meanwhile, Go Auto has since listed the Elmina Business Park’s address as its corporate office on its official website. At the same time, the website also listed Accentra Glenmarie’s premises as the company’s “satellite office”.
Neta Auto Malaysia moved to Seremban?

Let’s circle back to Neta Auto Malaysia. The brand has recently updated its official website, and unlike previous iterations, there is now an address at the bottom of the website.
Surprisingly, it is not the address of the new premises in Accentra Glenmarie. Instead, the listed address pointed to Careplus Mall in Oakland Commercial Park, Seremban 2 – a premise that is owned by Careplus Group.

The name Careplus might not be familiar to most, but believe it or not, the company has a significant involvement in Neta’s journey in Malaysia.
Careplus’s main business is glove making, but the company diversified into the EV business a few years ago through several joint ventures with Go Auto. They include Intro Synergy itself (30% share) as well as NexV Manufacturing (51% share), while Careplus also has a 30% share in Go Auto’s commercial vehicle arm, GVT.

Under the NexV Manufacturing joint venture, Careplus and Go Auto Group are building an EV assembly plant in Chembong Industrial Area at Rembau, Negeri Sembilan. Back in June, Careplus revealed its plan to raise additional funding for the factory via a rights issue.
They also previously worked together to jointly establish a Neta dealership under NexV Synergy. However, Careplus acquired the 30% share that the Go Auto Group held in this joint venture last November in order to gain full control of NexV Synergy and is now already looking to expand its offerings with EVs from other brands.

While it may seem that Careplus is taking the mantle from Go Auto or Intro Synergy to push whatever is left of Neta Auto Malaysia at the moment to the masses, we couldn’t find any official information that can definitively confirm that move.
For what it’s worth, there were a significant number of Neta vehicles on the Careplus Mall compound according to the images on Google Maps that were captured in October 2024 and March 2025. With the closure of its Glenmarie facility, maybe Careplus Mall, which Careplus has earmarked as its EV distribution, spare parts and service centre, is the only viable place for Intro Synergy to store the remaining Neta vehicles that it still has in stock.
At the moment, Intro Synergy is offering Neta V with “low mileage” for as low as RM55,000. For Neta X, you can get it for as little as RM90,000.

This is what you are going to see if you Google for “ Neta Auto Malaysia ” or “ Neta Malaysia ” today, 19 August 2025.
According to JPJ’s registration data, there were 314 Neta V and 75 Neta X registered in Malaysia up till June 2025. If you owned one of them, you might want to give your Neta dealership a call and ask what is going on, despite the assurance given by Intro Synergy a few months ago.
