Huawei has pulled the curtain and has introduced its latest mid-range tablet in Malaysia, the Huawei MatePad 11.5 2025 PaperMatte Edition. This tablet brings upgrades such as a larger battery, faster charging, and enhanced productivity and creativity software features.

Featuring a metal unibody design, the Huawei MatePad 11.5 2025 measures 515g in weight and 6.1mm in thickness, and can be had in either Violet or Space Grey.
Up front, you get an 11.5” 2.5K (2546×1600) 120Hz IPS LCD PaperMatte display that outputs a peak brightness of 600 nits. Laid out in a 3:2 aspect ratio, the MatePad 11.5 2025 has an 86% screen-to-body ratio.
Huawei says the MatePad 11.5 2025’s PaperMatte display is 60% less reflective, at just 2%, but provides a 95% light transmittance rate and higher anti-glare effects. It has also received eye protection certifications from TUV Rheinland and SGS.
Powering the Huawei MatePad 11.5 2025 in Malaysia is the brand’s Kirin T82B octa-core processor, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Huawei says its latest mid-range tablet sports a 67% larger graphite sheet, leading to a 25% increase in overall performance.
Connectivity-wise, you get Bluetooth 5.2 and WiFi 6, with no LTE option available. The tablet is also said to feature a 30% growth in Wi-Fi throughput, thanks to its brand-new antenna that’s integrated with the rear camera.
Keeping lights on for the Huawei MatePad 11.5 2025 is a 10,100mAh battery that can charge at 40W via its USB-C 2.0 port, which should last you up to 14 hours of video playback on a single charge. Also, you get a quad-stereo speaker setup here.
Software-wise, the Huawei MatePad 11.5 2025 runs on HarmonyOS 4.3. It’s also offered with some new software enhancements, including a newly upgraded Huawei Notes and the inclusion of the GoPaint app.
Specifically, the enhanced Huawei Notes now comes with the AI Hanwriting Enhance feature that enhances your handwriting using two fonts of choice — Crescent and Gibbous. You also get three brush options to choose from — 2B Pencil, Felt-tip Pen, and Calligraphy Brush. Also added to the Huawei Notes are Magic Memos and Resource Centre.
As for the GoPaint app, this is the first time Huawei has added this software to its “vanilla” MatePad lineup. Though you do lose out on some features compared to the version found on the brand’s latest MatePad Pro tablets.
