Michigan State basketball to host Duke at Breslin Center on Dec. 6
The Spartans announced Tuesday, June 17, they will host a non-conference game against the Duke Blue Devils on Saturday, Dec. 6, in East Lansing. This will be the 20th overall game played between the Spartans and Blue Devils.
Information about the televised broadcast and tipoff is still to be determined. The team's full schedule has not been released, though the Spartans already know which conference opponents they will be hosting and which they will be travelling to face.

These two teams last met in the Champions Classic on Nov. 14, 2023, with Duke winning 74-65. Prior to that, Michigan State also fell to Duke in the second round of the 2022 NCAA Tournament, with an 85-76 loss over the No. 2 seed Blue Devils.
The last time the Spartans beat the Blue Devils was a 75-69 win on in the Champions Classic on Dec. 1, 2020. It was Spartans' coach Tom Izzo's first win at Duke's Cameron Indoor Stadium.
The December game will mark the third game between the two teams at the Breslin Center. The Spartans are 2-10 against the Blue Devils dating to 2010.
Michigan State is coming off its best season in years, reaching 30 regular-season wins for the first time since the 2018-19 season. Though the Spartans entered the 2025 NCAA Tournament as the South region's No. 2 seed, they fell in the Elite Eight 70-64 to the No. 1-seed Auburn Tigers.
