Nicklaus makes multiple appearances in the film, which features guest spots from everybody from rapper Eminem to Travis Kelce to Nicklaus and a host of golfers from across the years.

Christopher McDonald, who plays Gilmore's nemesis Shooter McGavin, gushed about getting to spend time with Nicklaus in an interview for the film that you can see below.

In the film, Sandler's titular character goes to a dinner where he spends time with Nick Faldo, Fred Couples, Lee Trevino, Jordan Spieth and Xander Schauffele. Gilmore sits next to Nicklaus, and Sandler discussed the moment in an interview on the Dan Patrick show.

"He was amazing," Sandler said in a December interview. "His wife was awesome. In the scene, I sit next to Jack so I got to talk to him and he was so nice to me. It reminded me so much of growing up and what he meant to my dad and what he meant to the whole world."

Sandler said hearing Nicklaus' voice on the phone prior to shooting the scene brought out a feeling that would only be duplicated by talking to Johnny Carson.
