Stars who forgot their most iconic roles

It's easy to think that actors in movies or on a long-running TV show would have tons of memories of their time filming. However, while this can be true to some extent, there are a number of actors who have absolutely no memory of filming their most famous roles! Some don't remember the plot, being on set, or even the lines!

There are different reasons for this memory loss; in some cases it's due to a health issue, in others it's due to substance abuse. Then there are some actors who simply say they have a bad memory!

John Stamos

In October 2023, John Stamos appeared on 'The Howard Stern Show' to promote his new memoir, 'If You Would Have Told Me.' He revealed that his alcoholism got so bad around 2015 that he doesn't remember being on set to film 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2.'

Brie Larson

Brie Larson won an Academy Award for her performance in 'Room'(2015), but there's one emotionally wrenching scene she has no memory of filming.

The Irish actor revealed that he has no memories of making 'Miami Vice' (2006). It was the last film he made while still using drugs and alcohol.

Frankie Muniz

Frankie Muniz started playing Malcolm on 'Malcolm in the Middle' at the age of 15, and wrapped it up at 20. However, he remembers almost nothing of filming the popular sitcom. On top of that, he doesn't even remember being nominated for an Emmy in 2001, or even attending the ceremony.

The actress behind Monica Geller struggles to remember much of the filming of 'Friends.' She simply blames having a bad memory.
