Mason Graham loses to wings while Carson Schwesinger wins 7-on-7 with pick | Browns notes
BEREA — Who hasn't enjoyed a few too many wings and felt the aftereffects? If Mason Graham hadn't before Saturday's second day of rookie minicamp, the Browns defensive tackle can say he has now.
The Browns were in the midst of teams drills when the No. 5 overall pick began feeling queasy. That queasiness overwhelmed Graham, who proceeded, as they say, to lose his lunch.
“I think he ate too much," Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said afterward. "I think the cooking in the kitchen was too good. So, a few less wings next time.”
Graham, to his credit, was able to "puke and rally." He eventually returned to the drill, and continued on through the rest of the practice on a warm day in Berea.
First, though, Graham had to make sure he cleaned out his helmet. He also had to make sure to say something to his teammates in order to be accountable.
“He also apologized to the offensive line because they were real close to it and almost standing in it," Stefanski said. "But he’s fine, he’s got the right mentality.”
Kevin Stefanski hints Browns could soon add more wide receiver depth
The Browns have needed wide receivers all offseason. The only additions have been free-agent signees DeAndre Carter, who's more of a return man, and Diontae Johnson.
There were several wide receiver in rookie minicamp who either were undrafted free agents, tryout players or a player like Kaden Davis, who was a reserves/future player held over from last season. Could the Browns soon add a wide receiver, either from that group or from one of the remaining free agents?

“Yeah, it’s a good question," Stefanski said. "Potentially. We’ll see how, how the roster shakes out after this weekend. But if you start to two spot, quote-on-quote, where you put two drills simultaneous, you do want to make sure that you have enough guys for those type of things.”
Kevin Stefanski gives update on Deshaun Watson's rehab
The Browns are working through the summer with a four-man quarterback competition. However, there are technically five quarterbacks on the roster, but Deshaun Watson continues to recover from a second surgery to repair a re-tear of his Achilles.
Watson, who originally tore the Achilles last October before re-tearing it during rehab, had the second surgery in early January. After initially being in a walking boot to keep the tendon stabilized, he's been out of it for a couple of weeks.
“Yeah, he’s working really hard," Stefanski said. "Doing a nice job in his rehab. Doing a great job in the meeting room as well.”
Welcome to the NFL, rookie
Second-round pick Quinshon Judkins was speaking on the first day of rookie minicamp about the transition to the NFL. The moment it became real to him was when he walked into the locker room and saw his nameplate above his locker.

The wide-eyed rookie look was not limited to Judkins, nor was it a rarity. Stefanski was asked, though, if a couple of days in the building may have changed that a bit.
“I think I will see it," Stefanski said. "I don’t know if I’ve seen it yet. You know, it’s early and this is the fun part for these guys. They’ve been dreaming about this for their whole life. I mean, whether you heard your name called in the draft or you’re signed after the draft or whatever it is, to walk in here, put the jersey on, put the helmet on, it’s pretty special. I’m happy to be a part of that with those guys, but there’s also a lot on their mind. There’s maybe not so much time to reflect for them just yet, but it is pretty special for their first time out here as Cleveland Browns.”
Carson Schwesinger caps second day with impressive end zone interception
The defensive play of the second day came courtesy of linebacker Carson Schwesinger, the team's second-round pick, who came up with an end zone interception during a short red-zone 7-on-7 period at the end of practice.

Cleveland Browns linebacker Carson Schwesinger (49) practices during day two of NFL rookie minicamp at the Cleveland Browns training facility on Saturday, May 10, 2025, in Berea, Ohio.
Quarterback Dillon Gabriel was throwing the pass, which appeared intended for either wide receiver Kisean Johnson or tight end John Samuel Shenker. Schwesinger made the perfect read, however, and came over the make the pick.
“Yeah, did a great job," Stefanski said. "I mean, you talk about his intelligence and things happen so fast down there in the red zone. So, the ability to process quickly is really important and [he] made a great play on the ball.”
