The action-adventure film — directed by Gareth Edwards, scripted by David Koepp and produced by franchise launcher Steven Spielberg — stars Johansson as an ex-military operative on a mission to an abandoned facility affiliated with the original Jurassic Park.

Johansson previously told PEOPLE it felt "surreal" to lead a Jurassic movie after being a lifelong fan of the franchise, and that she's “excited for Jurassic nerds to see it because I think they'll like it a lot."
"And I hope that there are other 10-year-olds that have the same experience that I did when I saw the first Jurassic in theaters, where they can just be completely carried away for two hours," she recalled. "It makes you dream."
