Liam Hemsworth And Gabriella Brooks Are Reportedly Engaged

A congratulations may be in order for Liam Hemsworth and Gabriella Brooks, who are reportedly engaged. The news surfaced on Tuesday after Brooks was photographed wearing a diamond ring on her left ring finger during a yacht outing in Ibiza. She was joined by Chris Hemsworth, Rita Ora, Taika Waititi, and Matt Damon aboard the star-studded boat.

The photos were first published by The Daily Mail, and picked up by Deuxmoi the next day, and showed Brooks boarding the boat ahead of Liam’s brother Chris. She wore a yellow and black polka dot summer dress with a flouncy frill around the neckline. The ring appears to feature a sizeable princess-cut diamond on a platinum or white gold band, though it’s impossible to know the precise details without a clearer photo.

Hemsworth, 35, and Brooks, 28, first sparked dating rumours in December 2019 when they were seen together in Byron Bay. In the years since, their relationship has developed quietly, with the pair keeping public appearances to a minimum. Most recently, they were spotted together in the stands at Wimbledon, though their red carpet debut took place back in June 2021, at a children’s mental health charity event in Sydney.

Brooks, a model with an international portfolio that counts Louis Vuitton, Valentino, and Calvin Klein as clients, has spoken sparingly about their relationship. In a 2021 interview with Stellar magazine, she said: “My personal relationship is very, very important and very sacred to me… there are some things you just want to keep to yourself.”

That said, she admitted that she understands the curiosity about her relatonship. “But at the end of the day, I guess I just like having that for me,” she said. “But he’s great. They are great. They are the most beautiful people and I’m very lucky to know them.”

Neither Hemsworth nor Brooks has released a statement about the engagement, and given how private they have been about their relationship to date, we’re not holding our breath for a formal announcement.
