Jacob Misiorowski's All-Star Game appearance gets the attention of WWE's The Miz

And WWE's version of The Miz sure noticed.

"There's just something about being really, really good at what you do and being called The Miz," wrote Mike "The Miz" Mizanin on X, referencing the Brewers' 23-year-old star pitcher Jacob Misiorowski after his appearance for the National League team in the eighth inning on July 15 in Atlanta.

The Miz, a two-time WWE champion and celebrity outside of the ring, has been entertaining crowds with his must-see persona for years, screaming to the masses when he's in character that he's "awesome" and the "most must-see superstar."

The Brewers' phenom pitcher, who has adopted The Miz nickname, has been awesome in his start to his big-league career and has been so "must-see" at this moment on the diamond that he was named an All-Star after just five starts.

The Brewers shared Mizanin's tweet on Instagram in a collab post. It's the connection we've been waiting for between the baseball Miz and the wrestler Miz.

There had been some seeds planted earlier.

Misiorowski even began using The Miz's entrance song of "I Came to Play" by rock band Downstait as his walk-up music to the mound.

Mizanin won't be mistaken for a Brewers fan. He's a Cleveland Guardians fan who's a regular at the All-Star Celebrity Softball Game, though he didn't play this year. But don't be surprised that, the next time WWE makes its way to Milwaukee, The Miz walks out in a Misiorowski jersey.

Now that would be awesome.

Misiorowski, who has taken the league by storm with his electric fastballs, entered the game in the eighth inning with the National League leading, 6-4. He did his job in his first All-Star Game appearance, getting a hold after pitching a scoreless inning. The NL eventually won in a first-of-its-kind home-run swing-off after the two teams were tied at 6 after nine innings.

The right-hander threw nine of his 18 pitches 100 mph or higher. Only Aroldis Chapman has reached 100 mph on pitches more in an All-Star Game, when he did it 13 times in 2015, according to MLB.

Misiorowski brought the heat to Atlanta.

Misiorowski topped out at 102.3 mph, a pitch that Toronto Blue Jays catcher Alejandro Kirk fouled off. Misiorowski became just the fourth pitcher to reach 102 mph in an All-Star Game. And even his 98 mph slider to the Tampa Bay Rays' Randy Arozarena, the first batter he faced, was unreal.

Brewers schedule: Jacob Misiorowski next start

It's good that Jacob Misiorowski got some action in during the All-Star Game.

That's because he isn't scheduled to pitch in the Brewers' first series out of the break against the Los Angeles Dodgers, making it about two full weeks between his starts. He last pitched in a regular game July 8 against the Dodgers. In that game, he struck out 12 Dodgers and allowed just a lead-off home run to three-time MVP Shohei Ohtani in the Brewers' 3-1 win.

Misiorowski should pitch either on Monday, July 21, or Tuesday, July 22, on the road agaisnt the Seattle Mariners.

He entered the All-Star break with a 4-1 record, a 2.81 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 33 strikeouts in 25⅔ innings. And Misiorowski has already made history in his first month in the big leagues. He set the record for most hitless innings to begin a career after not allowing a hit in his first 11 innings pitched across two starts.

Misiorowski didn't allow a hit across five innings in his first start June 12 against the St. Louis Cardinals. Then, Misiorowski had a perfect game going through six innings in his next start June 20 against the Minnesota Twins.

Brewers promotions, new Miz T-shirt giveaway

The Brewers are full steam ahead with Miz-Mania.

The team has added a new Jacob Misiorowski T-shirt giveaway for Sunday, Aug. 10, against the New York Mets. The first 25,000 ticketed fans will receive the shirt.

The shirt features an image of Misiorowski in a pitcher's position with "The Miz" lettering across the middle on the front.
