Watch the new teaser-trailer for the Eminem fan documentary 'Stans'

Eminem takes the stage before former president Barack Obama while campaigning for Kamala Harris at Huntington PlaceÊin Detroit on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2024.
Eminem’s long, sometimes complicated relationship with his most diehard fans is the subject of a new documentary hitting U.S. cinemas next month.
“Stans,” directed by Emmy Award-winning documentarian, will arrive at AMC Theatres on Aug. 7 for a limited-time screening. Advance tickets, including showings at AMC’s five metro Detroit locations, are available now.
A teaser trailer for the two-hour doc was released Tuesday.
The film takes its name from Eminem’s 2000 hit “Stan,” which portrayed an increasingly obsessive fan amid Eminem’s initial eruption to mega-stardom.
The documentary premiered last month at the SXSW London festival in England.
“Though an overtly reverent documentary, ‘Stans’ is a compelling, respectful exploration of one of the world's most successful and famous artists mainly through the experiences and opinions of his fans,” wrote one U.K. reviewer following the film’s London screening.
The documentary will be accompanied by a soundtrack featuring previously unreleased Eminem music.
