The hottest ticket this weekend is not in New York City or Los Angeles, but in Indianapolis, Indiana, where the top WNBA players from all 13 teams have gathered for the annual All-Star weekend.
The roster was chosen through on a combination of fan, coach, and media voting, followed by a captain’s draft. The two players with the highest fan votes—Caitlin Clark from the Indiana Fever (based in Indianapolis) and Napheesa Collier from the Minnesota Lynx—became team captains and got to pick their desired starters and bench players.
The three-day even kicked off Thursday, with a parade of fashion on the famed orange carpet. It continued on Friday with a three-part skills challenged that saw the league’s stars battle it out for various trophies.
After the friendly competition, players in head-to-toe Coach gathered at the fashion brand’s All-Star Weekend opening party at local hotspot Commission Row. Those styled by Coach included Collier, Paige Bueckers (Dallas Wings), Sonia Citron (Washington Mystics), Kiki Iriafen (Washington Mystics), Aneesah Morrow (Connecticut Sun), Hailey Van Lith (Chicago Sky) , Sydney Colson (Indiana Fever), Marist Liufau (NFL, Dallas Cowboys), Bia (Musician), Aari McDonald (Indiana Fever), Courtney Williams (Minnesota Lynx), and Natisha Hiedeman (Minnesota Lynx). The bash celebrated the continued partnership between Coach and the WNBA, as earlier this year the house announced a multiyear partnership with the league and became its official handbag partner.
The fun continues Saturday, with the much awaited All-Star game (and the fashion-filled tunnel walk before it).
Ahead, all the best fashion from WNBA All-Star Weekend.
