Cream

Formed in 1966, Cream is considered the first supergroup ever formed. Cream was guitarist Eric Clapton (Yardbirds), drummer Ginger Baker (Graham Bond Organization) and bassist Jack Bruce (Manfred Mann).
Velvet Revolver

Guns N' Roses' members Slash, Duff McKagan, and Matt Sorum, teamed up with guitarist Dave Kushner and Stone Temple Pilots vocalist Scott Weiland to form Velvet Revolver. The supergroup enjoyed great success, particularly with their debut album 'Contraband,' released in 2004.
Traveling Wilburys

The Traveling Wilburys brought together some of the most talented musicians of a generation. We're talking about Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Roy Orbison, George Harrison, and Jeff Lynne.
Audioslave

This is not just Rage Against the Machine without vocalist Zack de la Rocha. Audioslave was a solid supergroup composed of Soundgarden's Chris Cornell and RATM members Tom Morello, Brad Wilk, and Tim Commerford.
The Honeydrippers

After Led Zeppelin called it quits, singer Robert Plant and guitarist Jimmy Page joined Jeff Beck (Yardbirds) and Nile Rodgers (Chic) and formed The Honeydrippers.
Rat Pack

While the Rat Pack was a rather informal group, it was nonetheless a supergroup. Members included Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Joey Bishop, and Peter Lawford.
Electronic

After The Smiths called it quits, guitarist Johnny Marr teamed up with New Order's Bernard Sumner and formed Electronic. Their first single, 'Getting Away with It,' featured Neil Tennant of the Pet Shop Boys on vocals.

In 2009, Jack White (The White Stripes/The Raconteurs) teamed up with The Kills' singer Alison Mosshart, Queens of the Stone Age guitarist Dean Fertita, and The Raconteurs' bassist Jack Lawrence. The Dead Weather released three studio albums.
Chickenfoot

Imagine Van Halen, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Joe Satriani together. Chickenfoot got close! They were Van Halen's singer Sammy Hagar and bassist Michael Anthony, with RHCP's drummer Chad Smith, and guitar virtuoso Joe Satriani.
Temple of the Dog

Temple of the Dog got together as a tribute to the late Mother Love Bone front man Andy Wood. They were Chris Cornell (Soundgarden), Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard (Green River/Mother Love Bone/Pearl Jam) Mike McCready (Pearl Jam), and Matt Cameron (Soundgarden, Pearl Jam).
The Good The Bad And The Queen

In 2006, Damon Albarn of Blur teamed up with The Clash's bassist Paul Simonon, The Verve's guitarist Simon Tong, and legendary drummer Tony Allen to form the supergroup The Good, the Bad & the Queen. They released two albums: their self-titled debut in 2007, and 'Merrie Land' in 2018.

Formed in 1999, A Perfect Circle brought together Tool's front man Maynard James Keenan, guitarist William L. Howerdel, as well as bassist Paz Lenchantin (Pixies), guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen (Queens of the Stone Age), and drummer Tim Alexander (Primus).
