Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos don’t just have a talk show empire—they’re also building a family dynasty.

The entertainment It couple met in 1995 while filming the soap All My Children. They tied the knot the following year, and have enjoyed almost three decades of marital bliss. Along the way, they raised three children: Michael, Lola, and Joaquin.

Ripa and Consuelos welcomed their first child, Michael, in June 1997. The family expanded in 2001, welcoming daughter Lola. Two years later, the couple welcomed their youngest child, son Joaquin.

It was love at first sight for the two aspiring actors, Ripa shared with People in 2023. When a casting director showed her a photo of Consuelos, now 54, she knew. “I was like, 'Oh my gosh, it's my person. This is my husband. My future hubs.' I just knew it."

Ripa went from soap star to talk show titan, and her viewers often got a glimpse into her personal life through anecdotes or occasional appearances by her kids. Now that her and Consuelos’ children are in their twenties, fans often can’t believe how much they’ve grown.

"Our children are fully aware. They'll meet people on the street that will come up to them and say, 'I watched you grow up. It is such a pleasure to see you as an adult,' " Ripa, 54, shared on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast. “And that means something to us.”

Although their kids have flown the nest, the television presenters don’t shy away from sharing about their family on air and on social media, keeping longtime viewers and new fans in the loop. Here’s everything to know about Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos’ kids.

Michael Consuelos

Ripa and Consuelos welcomed their first child, Michael Joseph Consuelos, on June 2, 1997. He was born in New York City. Originally, he was going to be named Joaquin, his mother shared in a 2018 episode of Live with Kelly and Mark. Shortly before their son’s arrival, Consuelos lost both of his grandfathers, and they chose to name Michael Joseph after them instead.

Like his parents, Michael felt drawn to the entertainment industry early in life. After making guest appearances on his parents’ talk show since he was 3 years old, he informally joined the show’s crew during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“[Michael’s] been producing my end of this show," Ripa shared on a May 2020 episode of her talk show, per E! News. "So he really is sort of working while he's finishing because he's set to 'graduate' from college,” she added, referring to how his graduation from New York University would be online due to the pandemic.

The eldest Consuelos child completed a film degree at NYU, but soon found himself on the other side of the camera. He was cast as the younger version of his father Mark Consuelos’ character, Hiram Lodge, on the CW drama Riverdale.

"Bucket list moment for Mom and Dad,” Consuelos wrote of his son’s new role on Instagram. “Congrats to my son Michael on being cast as the younger (and much better and handsomer) Hiram. We are so proud. Love you MJC."

Ripa has also gushed about her firstborn, telling People in 2019 that Michael “has the strongest moral compass of anyone I’ve ever known. He is just such a good and decent and thoroughly kind person.”

Today, Michael has moved back to the production side of filmmaking. In 2023, Bravo’s Andy Cohen shared that Michael worked on The Real Housewives franchise, Summer House, and Winter House. “It’s a full-circle moment,” the Watch What Happens Live host said on Ripa and Consuelos’ show, per People.

When Michael turned 28 in 2025, Ripa shared an adorable Instagram Reel of him as a newborn, wishing a happy birthday to “the leader of the pack” in her caption.

Lola Consuelos

On June 16, 2001, the co-hosts welcomed their second child and only daughter, Lola Grace Consuelos. Soon after her birth, Ripa called into Live! to check in with viewers.

“I was like, 'Guys, I have to be on the air,'” she joked of her conversation with her delivery team, per People. “Talk about content—you think you making eggs is impressive. I was like, 'If we could speed this c-section along!'"

The name Lola was inspired by Barry Manilow’s hit song, “Copacabana (At the Copa),” Ripa revealed in a 2018 episode of Live with Kelly and Mark. She said the song was playing in the cab she and Mark were riding in as she went into labor.

Because of her parents’ public-facing career, Ripa and Consuelos set a strict boundary on their daughter’s social media use while she was growing up. “[Lola] had really wanted a public account, but we made her wait until she was an adult," Ripa said in a 2020 People interview with her family. "Apparently she turned 18 and immediately went public," she added.

The middle Consuelos child followed her older brother to NYU, studying music and production, per People. She graduated in 2023, just one year after releasing her debut single, “Paranoia Silverlining.” Her parents had the chance to preview the track.

“They loved it," Lola said of their reaction in a 2022 People interview. "My parents are the last people to sugarcoat anything when it comes to my singing. They are going to tell me if it sounds bad! So when I saw they had a good reaction and liked it, I felt reassured."

Post-grad, the aspiring artist has relocated from her native NYC to London. Her boyfriend, Cassius Kidston, is a native of the city and also lives there, per People. The couple both attended NYU, and Lola studied abroad in London while a student.

The 24-year-old dropped a sweet Instagram post celebrating her and Kidston’s anniversary in April 2025, captioning it, “another year of pure magic♡‿♡you’re heavenly.”

Joaquin Consuelos

Ripa and Consuelos expanded their family from four to five when they welcomed son Joaquin Antonio Consuelos on February 24, 2003. Like his siblings, he was born in NYC.

After graduating from high school in 2021, the youngest Consuelos child decided to attend the University of Michigan and join the school’s wrestling team. He revealed the news on his Instagram account, writing in the caption of a post, “Super excited to step into this next chapter with @umichwrestling! Honored to be part of this great program.”

Once he left for college, the longtime partners and co-hosts became empty nesters at last. “It was hard,” Ripa said on their show about moving Joaquin into school, per People. “It was really hard. We dropped him off at school and we gave him a hug—it was actually brutally painful. And I said, ‘I did not realize that 18 years would go so fast.’”

In May 2025, Joaquin graduated from the University of Michigan after studying at the School of Music, Theatre and Dance. “He got his diploma from the school of drama," Ripa said on the May 5, 2025 episode of Live with Kelly and Mark

Joaquin’s parents and siblings were there to share in their younger brother’s big moment. Ripa showed photos of the family happily posing with the new grad in the same episode.

In July 2025, Ripa and Consuelos shared what advice they gave their youngest child after his graduation. "Slow and steady wins the race kind of thing," Consuelos told People on the red carpet for their new ESPN series, Running with the Wolves, which follows their journey as new owners of an Italian soccer club.

"Also, the less we say the better, you know," Ripa added. "Kids are more reticent to take advice from their parents, so we just keep it quiet, and we've been lucky so far. They've really turned out to be fabulous adults. We're really proud of them."
