Marquette County Youth Football registrations open

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - Football season is nearly here in Marquette County.

Hendrickson says this organization was one of the first in the country to require concussion testing before joining.

Registration costs $150, but there are half or full scholarships available. Hendrickson says this organization is completely volunteer-led, self-funded and non-school affiliated.

Mandy Koskela spoke with Bode, Lucas and Lewis Bushong about their experiences playing on the Marquette County Youth Football team.

Lucas and Lewis are entering their second year playing football. They say it has been a great way to make friends.

The twins’ older brother, Bode, says playing Marquette County Youth Football is an experience you will not regret.

Gear pick-up is on Aug. 2 and Aug. 10. Registration closes after gear pick-up on Aug. 10.
