Guardians trade: Shane Bieber is leaving Cleveland

With the MLB trade deadline looming Thursday at 6 p.m., the Cleveland professional baseball team has opted to trade the Cy Young Award-winning Shane Bieber to the Blue Jays for AA RHP prospect Khal Stephen.
Bieber, who underwent Tommy John surgery last April and has made only two major league starts since 2024, has been with Cleveland since 2018.

The 30-year-old had signed a $10 million one-year deal with the Guards during the offseason.
Following a fantastic season where the Guards went deep into the playoffs, the team is currently sitting at exactly .500 this season.
