On Wednesday, Meridian held a parade for Roberts, followed by a mini-concert. The 20,000 fans turned out to support their hometown favorite.

The father of three won a golden ticket singing "Mary Jane" by Rick James during the audition rounds and has continued to wow fans with his wide vocal range.

Judge Luke Bryan told PEOPLE magazine that he has a gut feeling about Roberts, and Lionel Richie said popularity will be the deciding factor this season.
