The worst hairstyles of the 90s

The 90s gave a lot to pop culture. Huge movies, memorable music, and some of the worst hairstyles ever. Bowl haircuts were somehow popular with men, while color was all the rage with the ladies. Lots of celebrities start these trends and make them acceptable, but maybe in hindsight they would have chosen more wisely.
Take a look at some of the weirdest haircuts that the 1990s gave us!
Gwen Stefani

Gwen Stefani rocked several interesting hairstyles in the 90s. She had some really innovative styles during the decade, and she liked to change colors frequently enough.

This was her 2000 look, but it still has a bit of a 90s vibe, right?
Christina Aguilera

She wasn't afraid to try new things with her hair, although she may have come to regret some of those choices.
Justin Timberlake

Yes, Justin Timberlake had cornrows once upon a time. There's a good reason this was a one-off kind of thing.
Kirsten Dunst

Is there a name for this hairstyle? Thankfully it was never repeated, and if you look close enough, you can see she has butterfly hair clips!
Alicia Silverstone

She also rocked this hairstyle back in the day, and we're not really sure how to explain it...
Drew Barrymore

She looks a lot older with this strange headpiece.
Leonardo DiCaprio

Oh look, it's a 90s bowl haircut.
Courtney Love

The hairstyle itself isn't bad, but did Courtney really need all the accessories?
Joseph Gordon-Levitt

Joseph Gordon-Levitt can blame this one on the grunge wave of the 90s. Every kid had to have it, and that included him!
Jennifer Aniston

The famous 'Rachel' haircut based on Jennifer Aniston's character in 'Friends.' This was huge in the mid 90s thanks to the show's popularity.
Johnny Depp

You'd think he could have brushed his hair for his Walk of Fame ceremony.
