Sci-fi fans binge ‘wildly entertaining’ series with 97% Rotten Tomatoes score

Sci-fi fans subscribed to Apple TV are already bingeing a brand new futuristic series just a week after it first dropped. Murderbot, starring Alexander Skarsgård as the titular character, is an action comedy from brotherly creative duo Paul and Chris Weitz. Set in the far future, Murderbot – a private security cyborg – becomes autonomous and must keep its self-awareness a secret as it deals with humans in everyday life.

@IsaiahXArellano said: ‘Started watching this new series on Apple TV. First 2 episodes are out. Alexander Skarsgard just doesn’t age!’ @Fantasy4theAges just wants more: ‘Episode three continued the excellence of Murderbot. The only problem was the episode was too short! When credits rolled … I was like “No!” Just because I want MORE! This is so good.’
The cast also includes The Dark Night actor David Dastmalchian, comedian Sabrina Wu, and Doll Factory star Akshay Khanna. Completing the list of main actors are Canadian stars Tamara Podemski and Tattiawna Jones – Jones most recently starred in the Orphan Black series Echoes (Picture: Steve Wilkie / Avalon)

Skarsgård certainly made a splash with viewers on Friday morning’s episode of Lorraine, which saw him dress like a ‘schoolboy’ despite his massive frame. The Swedish actor, who is six feet and four inches tall, delighted viewers with his incredible outfit, including shorts that barely covered his thighs.Ranvir Sigh complimented him, saying: ‘You’ve got your legs out. You’re wearing shorts, which is the theme of the fashion segment today. Your fashion is so out there and free' (Picture: Ken McKay/ITV/Shutterstock)

Skarsgård thanked her and explained how he picked out the outfit, saying: ‘I wanted to be sexy today. There’s nothing sexier than a middle-aged man in a British schoolboy uniform.’
@TerryF1010 added on X: ‘He’s still gorgeous, regardless of his odd fashion choices,’ as @Helen909King joked: ‘He’s dressed for the British weather I suppose' (Picture: ITV)
