Kate Middleton’s New Wax Figure Features a First for the Princess of Wales
Though this isn’t Kate’s first wax figure from Madame Tussauds, it is her first with a very royal upgrade.

- As of May 21, Kate Middleton has a brand new wax figure on display at Madame Tussauds London.
- Though this isn’t the first time the Princess of Wales has been immortalized in wax, this is the first time a wax figure of her has been made in a tiara.
- The replica is wearing the Lover’s Knot tiara, and the wax figure’s look is modeled off of the future queen’s appearance at a Buckingham Palace Diplomatic Reception in December 2023—Jenny Packham dress and all.
Kate Middleton has been immortalized in wax yet again at Madame Tussauds—but this latest wax figure features a royal first.
The Princess of Wales wears a replica Jenny Packham gown—originally worn by the future queen in 2023 in real life—and silver Gianvito Rossi pumps in her new wax figure, which also features Kate wearing a tiara for the first time in wax. Naturally, Madame Tussauds chose her signature Lover’s Knot tiara—the tiara Kate most often wears—for the figure, which stands at Madame Tussauds London. The same wax tiara was pulled out of the archives from previous wax figures of Princess Diana in the 1980s, per The Telegraph.

On her latest wax figure—which debuted May 21—Kate’s look is modeled after her appearance at a Diplomatic Reception in December 2023, and features a replica Royal Victorian Order blue sash, Royal Family Order of QEII (Queen Elizabeth II), and Greville Diamond Chandelier earrings.
“We are delighted that a new figure of the much-loved Catherine, Princess of Wales, has officially landed in the Royal Palace Experience at our attraction in the heart of London, continuing our centuries-long work with the royal family,” said Steve Blackburn of Madame Tussauds London.

Along with wax figures of King Charles and Queen Camilla, Prince William stands alongside his wife of 14 years, and Blackburn added (via People), “Kate, majestically crafted by our talented studio team, has been sculpted to ensure her resemblance is fit for a future queen alongside her dashing husband.”

Kate’s latest appearance in wax today falls right in the middle of a surprise Buckingham Palace garden party appearance on May 20 and a planned trip to Scotland alongside William on May 22. The future queen was first given the wax figure tribute in April 2012, just one year after her royal wedding to William on April 29 of the previous year, and is now in this latest wax iteration immortalized “from tiara to toe,” a news release about the new wax figure read on Wednesday.
Visitors to Madame Tussauds London can view the wax figure from today through the summer months.
