Tiger Woods appears at Travelers Championship for CEO announcement
CROMWELL, Conn. (WTNH) — Legendary professional golfer Tiger Woods made an appearance at the Travelers Championship Tuesday.
He was in town along with the rest of the PGA TOUR CEO Search Committee, who after an extensive process, recommended Brian Rolapp for the position.
Rolapp previously worked two decades with the National Football League, most recently as the NFL’s chief media and business officer.
Besides Woods, the search committee also included Arthur M. Blank, Adam Scott, Jay Monahan, Joe Gorder and Sam Kennedy.
“Brian’s appointment is a win for players and fans,” Woods said in a press release. “He has a clear respect for the game and our players and brings a fresh perspective from his experience in the NFL. I’m excited about what’s ahead—and confident that with Brian’s leadership, we’ll continue to grow the TOUR in ways that benefit everyone who loves this sport.”
