Violent Femmes playing first two albums at homecoming concert in Milwaukee
Folk pop veterans Violent Femmes are touring North America this fall, ending the run where it all began for the band in Milwaukee.
The Riverside Theater Oct. 18 will be the final stop of the Femmes' next North American tour, the band announced June 17. The show will be two acts with no openers, and feature two albums performed in full.
Milwaukee Femmes fans have been treated to a front-to-back performance of their self-titled album multiple times, but especially enticing for the hometown crowd will be a performance of sophomore album "Hallowed Ground" in its entirety.
This will also be the Femmes' first hometown show since 2023 when they performed with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, a concert that ended up on the Journal Sentinel's favorite concerts of the year list, and was the basis for a PBS special.

Violent Femmes will return to the Riverside Theater Oct. 18 in their native Milwaukee for the final stop of their North American tour.
Tickets go on sale for the Oct. 18 concert at 10 a.m. June 20 at the Riverside box office (116 W. Wisconsin Ave.) and pabsttheater.org, with prices to be announced.
