Columbus Zoo to open North America Trek, Conservation Tower on June 20
The great North America Trek is underway at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, and you are invited.
On June 20, the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is hosting its grand opening for the North America Trek, and the Conservation Tower is opening at Zoombezi Bay.
The North America Trek is a national-park inspired series of trails through eight immersive habitats. It features black bears, bald eagles, river otters and more. There will be constructed forests, canyons and wetlands for guests to experience the natural habitats of North American creatures.

The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium announced Tuesday it would be opening its North America Trek to the public May 23.
Additionally, the North America Trek introduces the Ohio Center for Wildlife Conservation, a place where guests can learn about endangered animals and local species.
There will be an aviary section to the walk, however, it is still under construction.
For the aquatic members of the family, Zoombezi Bay is ready with its own announcement.
Also on June 20, the waterpark is opening Conservation Tower. This three-ride addition has been built with the environment in mind, with initiatives to protect pollinators and raise awareness about American burying beetles, among others.
There will be a community dedication for the North America Trek at 10 a.m. on June 20, and a Conservation Tower ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening at Zoombezi Bay at 12 p.m.
