Former Super Bowl quarterback keeps expanding his golf business empire
The company led by former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Ron Jaworski hopes to score with a new tavern at his golf course near Middletown.
Because Jaworski wore the No. 7 jersey with the Eagles, the new venue is called 7 Tap-Tavern at Back Creek Golf Club, 101 Back Creek Drive, off of Churchtown Road north of Middletown.
The club opened in 1997 and was purchased by Ron Jaworski Golf in 2023. It’s one of eight clubs owned by the company, which also includes five in New Jersey and two in Pennsylvania.

Jaworski and the staff held a ribbon-cutting on June 18 at 7 Tap-Tavern, which is now open to the public. You don't have to be a golf club member to dine or drink there.
“This isn’t your ordinary sports bar,” Jaworski said in a press release. “We’ve created a place where everyone feels welcome – not just golfers – and where food, drink and good times come together in an unforgettable setting overlooking Back Creek Golf Club.”

Ron Jaworski Golf has opened a new restaurant and sports bar called 7 Tap-Tavern at Back Creek Golf Club north of Middletown, as seen on June 18. Jaworski wore the No. 7 jersey when he played quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles.
Jaworski described the tavern as a place to relax after 18 holes, enjoy an outstanding meal or meet friends and catch a game on multiple big-screen TVs.
The tavern is designed to serve both the active golfer and the casual diner, “with seasonally inspired menus and chef-driven weekly specials,” he said.

7 Tap is in the same space as the former restaurant at the golf club The Grille, but with a redesign including new flooring, décor, furniture, TVs, freshly painted walls and an improved terrace, said Jamie Riley, director of marketing and promotions for Ron Jaworski Golf.
About 50 people are employed at the venue.
