Packers Offensive Line Boasts NFC North's No. 2 Guard, NFL Analyst Says 1
The Packers are looking for the offensive line to make major strides this season, in front of quarterback Jordan Love and running back Josh Jacobs, and boast one of the premier offensive guards at his position across the league, according to one NFL analyst.
As Green Bay looks to improve on its run-blocking and set Love up to take the next step this season, Zach Tom is a critical piece for the Packers’ offensive line’s trajectory.

Over at CBS Sports, NFL analyst Pete Prisco put together his top-100 players for the upcoming 2025 season, with Zach Tom checking in as the No. 83 overall player in the league.
“Tom is one of the most underrated players in the league,” Prisco writes for CBS. “A dominant part of Green Bay’s offensive line. He doesn’t look the part, but he plays the game at a high level.”

The 26-year-old Tom checks in as the No. 5 ranked offensive guard on Prisco’s list and only Chicago Bears’ offseason addition, Joe Thuney, ranks higher in the NFC North, checking in at No. 55 overall.
Last season, Pro Football Focus points out that Tom only allowed three sacks while garnering an elite 87.5 grade, as the outlet’s fourth-ranked player at the position.
Tom underscored his commitment to the Packers, by practicing during OTAs and minicamp despite ongoing contract negotiations. Whether Tom and Green bay can strike a deal on a long-term contract before the season kicks off is one of the few remaining items on general manager Brian Gutekunst’s offseason to-do list.
If Tom continues to play at this level, he has the potential to be a keystone to Green Bay’s success on offense and the building block for the offensive line.
