Saturday was a night filled with emotions and celebrations with the crowning of Miss California's Teen for 2025.

The organization honored Emily Carpenter, who was crowned Miss Kings County 2025.

She died at age 19 from cancer in April of this year.

Carpenter left behind a legacy and was described as a young woman whose fight against cancer inspired many.

This year's pageant is a tribute to Carpenter spirit, and her mission remains a beacon of hope for all those fighting for a brighter tomorrow.

The winner of this year's competition, Jasmine Wu, shared what it means to her to carry that legacy.

Her community service initiative was all about uplifting children with cancer, and she made such a profound impact.

"When she passed, she left a legacy and I just feel incredibly honored, incredibly grateful to carry that on and embody what it means to serve with a heart of gold," Wu said.
