FLINT, MI — A family with roots overseas is bringing fresh ingredients, homemade recipes, and a hopeful outlook to Flint.

Goodfellas Pizzeria, a new family-owned restaurant, has opened at 4817 Fenton Road in the South Flint Plaza.

The pizzeria is owned by Nick Juncaj, whose family came to the United States from Europe.

Now, they’re pouring their energy into making high-quality food and investing in a community they care deeply about.

“Everything we use is top tier,” Juncaj said. “All the ingredients are top quality. Grande cheese, pepperoni, Italian sausage, you name it. We make things from scratch.”

The menu includes a wide selection of specialty pizzas - from classic favorites like pepperoni and margherita to more unique options like the “La Pasta Pizza,” which features ricotta, pasta, tomato sauce, and parmesan cheese.

Other standout choices include the “Meat Lovers,” “The Goodfella,” and the “Veggie Mob.”

Goodfellas also serves up wings, salads paired with garlic knots, several stromboli varieties, and combo deals for families or group orders.

A single pizza slice with a drink and chips is available for just $5.99, giving customers a quick, affordable option.

But for Juncaj, the business is about more than just the food they serve.

The family hopes the new pizzeria will help revitalize the South Flint Plaza by bringing more foot traffic and positive energy to the area.

“People on the outside view Flint in a negative way,” he said. “But I’m in Flint all day. I tell people they get it wrong. It’s a nice city, the people are nice.

“That’s why I think Flint deserves a comeback and it’s gotten a tremendous comeback over the last 10 years.”

The Juncaj family greets every customer who walks through the door and treats them like family.

Whether it’s a first-time visitor or a returning regular, they aim to create a warm, welcoming environment where everyone feels at home.

He said the family chose Flint intentionally, seeing both the need and the opportunity to be part of something positive.

Their focus is on quality, hospitality, and giving people a place to gather and enjoy themselves.

Goodfellas will have a massive dine-in area in the upcoming months and hopes to become a local favorite in Flint - one slice at a time.

“We put love and purpose into the pizza, it’s a family-owned business and we are opened with a full heart and soul,” Juncaj said.

Business hours are from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, and noon to 9 p.m. Sundays.
