Savannah Guthrie's Daughter Made Her the Loveliest Drawing ... Then Tried To Charge Her For It
Savannah Guthrie’s daughter Vale is an artiste, and also an entrepreneur, trying to charge her mom $5 for an original drawing.
The TODAY co-host shared a photo of her 10-year-old daughter Vale’s masterpiece in her Instagram Stories.
Vale had drawn her mom’s initials, “SCG,” for Savannah Clark Guthrie. Vale drew arrows pointing to the many hats worn by her mom, such as “Journalist,” “Winner,” Singer,” “Speaker,” “Daughter” and “Mom.”
Vale added: “And so much more!”

Savannah, who is also the mom of an 8-year-old son named Charley, captioned the photo, “Before you think, ‘Isn't that sweet,’ know that she tried to charge me $5 for it.”
The mom posted another drawing by Vale: Two figures standing together in a heart, titled “Sister Brother Bond,” which Savannah captioned, “And for this, I would pay it.”
Savannah also posted a third photo showing a hand-written copyright stamp from Vale.

Savannah and her daughter recently explored their family faith on TODAY, celebrating the February publication of Savannah’s children’s book, “Mostly What God Does is Love You.”
The book is the kid-friendlier version of Savannah’s book “Mostly What God Does: Reflections on Seeking and Finding His Love Everywhere,” which was published in 2024.
“I do remember talking to God when I was your age. I remember saying my prayers. I remember asking to not get a bad grade on a test or asking for a certain present for Christmas,” Savannah told Vale, who interviewed her mom on TODAY.
Savannah added, “But I also remember talking to God about my fears and my worries, and I guess that’s why it’s so important for me to tell you and Charley about Him because I’m hoping you’re having a conversation, too.”
