As most women’s college basketball fans know, South Carolina is in the hunt to win national championships each and every year. Kitts and her teammates won it all during the 2023-2024 campaign, which was a highlight of her college hoops career thus far.
High point
Kitts didn’t let that get her down. In the national title game against Caitlin Clark and Iowa two days later, she scored 11 points and hauled in 10 rebounds to help South Carolina win the game. She told On 3, “I wanted it so bad today. I went out there and gave it my all.”
Growth
South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley has been impressed with Kitts’ mental approach as well as her college career has evolved. Staley told The Mirror, “Mentally, physically, emotionally, like, you know, we have grown-up conversations, and I can’t believe it sometimes because of how she came in. Now she’s really thought-provoking, like she is really asking all the right things.”

Kitts may have a new legion of fans after June 2025, after she was seeing at the NBA Draft supporting her boyfriend, Collin Murray-Boyles. Murray Boyles is a former University of South Carolina men’s basketball player who was selected ninth overall by the Toronto Raptors in the NBA.

According to People’s website, Kitts and Murray-Boyles celebrated their one-year dating anniversary in December 2024 by spending some time together in New York City. In a social media post, Kitts was seen serenading Murray-Boyles in song.
Love and basketball
As noted by People’s website, Murray-Boyles shouted Kitts out during National Girlfriend Day on social media. The Toronto Raptors forward posted, “Happy National GF Day. I love you,” with a picture of him and Kitts as the backdrop.

Murray-Boyles told Greenville News about Kitts, “She’s amazing for me. She knows the sacrifices that this comes with, especially with being a professional basketball player. She understands that, fully embraces it and never takes anything for granted. She never takes my time for granted, and I never take her for granted as well.”
Timeline
As noted by King 5’s website, Kitts spent the first few years of her life in Puyallup, Washington before her family moved to Florida when she was a child. Kitts told the website, “I just want to thank all my family and friends from Washington, my hometown,” after she won the national title.
Mom and Dad
Yahoo Sports interviewed Jason and Krystle Kitts, Chloe’s parents, during March Madness in 2025. It was clear that they were locked in on being there for their daughter during the most important points of the season. They were thrilled when South Carolina played some games in their home state of Florida. “It’s nice to be able to stay close to where we live, and be able to drive and not fly,” Jason Kitts said.
Sibling
Chloe Kitts has a sister named Kylee Kitts who also plays high level women’s college basketball. Kylee Kitts redshirted her freshman season at the University of Florida, and has transferred to Ohio State for the 2025-2026 campaign, as covered by The Columbus Dispatch.
Reunion?
It would be interesting to see if the Kitts sisters could team up in college basketball one day, but it might not happen with Chloe going into her senior year at South Carolina. It’s possible Chloe could stick around for monetary reasons, as The Playoffs’ website notes she has an endorsement deal with Powerade.
Future plans
Kitts could soon join Murray-Boyles in the ranks of professional basketball. ESPN’s Michael Voepel has her as the 10th best prospect in the 2026 WNBA Draft.
