Boden’s New Summer Drop Is Proof It’s the Ultimate Brand for Colorful Closet Staples

Dresses and swimsuits and sets, oh my!

In terms of underrated brands to shop for summer, Boden ranks high on my list. And just one scroll through the brand’s new arrivals section should explain why! Boden is constantly churning out the best of the best when it comes to wearable dresses, colorful linens, playful accessories, and so much more. Plus, this season’s swimwear selection is totally unmatched — I placed an order for multiple suits (all with matching sarongs) after spotting a friend in one and falling in love with the sensational print.

While some brands that hone in on bold colors miss the mark in terms of timelessness, Boden gets it right year after year. Its combination of playful prints and patterns with timeless silhouettes and high-quality linens and cottons has yielded pieces that earn its keep in my wardrobe summer after summer, year after year. But that doesn’t mean I can’t justify a few new additions for summer 2025, right?

Boden Cleo Linen Tie Waist Dress

I’m not usually a mini dress girl, but the beautiful pattern and relaxed ease of this long-sleeved linen number totally won me over. Petite gals like myself might need to get it hemmed — tall girls, rejoice! It comes in regular and long lengths, but it’s definitely worth the extra effort.

Boden Alberta Footbed Sandals

I’m always on the hunt for a practical sandal that isn’t boring, and believe me when I say, these blow a basic Birkenstock style out of the park. Not only are the molded footbeds extremely comfortable, but the double buckle and white stitching detail really elevate the otherwise casual shape.

Boden Amy Sleeveless Shirt Dress

As a member of a tennis club with a white-and-blue logo, this was an easy pick for me. The only downside? I’m having trouble justifying getting the skirt version, too, and I really want both. For now, the Amy dress wins out thanks to the collared neckline and tie-waist middle.

I’ve already got my basic white and black linen separates locked in for summer, but Boden’s Paradise Green colorway is so enticing, I might have to snag this set, too. I love the look together, but both pieces are equally good for mixing and matching with the rest of my wardrobe.

Boden Giant Rik Rak Swimsuit

Rik Rak trim is such a classic preppy staple, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a swimsuit utilize it the way this strapless style does across the bust (BTW, it comes with removable straps). This particular suit comes in three colorways, but I’m partial to the unique Chocberry and Jewel option, a combination I don’t often see in swimwear.

When I think of Boden, I mostly think linen, but this embroidered cotton cardigan is a reminder of just how vast their offering truly is. This looks like the kind of piece I could only dream of finding at the coolest vintage store in town.
