Restaurant review: Motek brings bold Mediterranean flavors to Boca’s Restaurant Row
Motek is a Miami-born Mediterranean restaurant that expanded to Boca Raton in April 2025, with a polished new outpost on Town Center Road. The Boca location is tucked into the city's Restaurant Row development — a small but growing cluster of buzzy spots just east of Town Center mall — and takes over the sleek, airy space that previously housed Fiolina.
The restaurant has the feel of something that could’ve been plucked from a trendy corner of Wynwood: bright yellow accents, greenery draped from the ceiling and a lively indoor-outdoor setup anchored by a wraparound bar.
It’s the seventh Motek in South Florida, and like its sister locations, it offers a broad menu of Mediterranean-inspired dishes — from mezze spreads and fresh salads to savory pastries and grilled skewers.
Motek menu built for sharing — or keeping to yourself
Motek is best known for its silky hummus bowls, from the classic version ($13) to a mushroom‑topped riff ($17) that’s hearty enough to stand alone. Mezze like spicy Greek feta ($14) and warm laffa bread ($9) make easy starters, while mains include salmon skewers ($19) and chicken kebabs ($27). Salads range from $14 to $19, making it easy to build a spread without breaking the bank.
Motek is where cauliflower gets the star treatment

We came with the goal of sharing, and Motek’s menu made that easy. The classic hummus ($13) was the favorite of the night — smooth, rich and generously drizzled with olive oil, served with warm, fluffy pita perfect for scooping.
The hot falafel mezze ($12) brought crisp, herb-packed bites that paired well with the tangy tahini on the side. We added the crispy cauliflower ($15), glazed in a sticky-sweet harissa honey, along with a comforting bowl of rice and lentils ($10) to round things out.
Every dish came out quickly and felt thoughtfully plated, ideal for a meal built around tasting and sharing.
Motek: What to expect at the table
At Motek, guests are seated and order through a server, with food brought out as it’s ready. Service during our visit was friendly and attentive, with dishes arriving steadily and without long waits. Water glasses were kept full, and staff checked in just enough to make sure we had everything we needed without hovering.
