MHSAA football playoffs 2025: Some Greater Lansing teams are changing divisions.
The St. Johns football team qualified for the Michigan High School Athletic Association playoffs in Division 3 in 2024.
If the Redwings are to make it back to the playoffs in 2025, they will do it in Division 4.
Williamston also will be looking for a playoff return in a different division this fall after reaching the Division 5 postseason in 2024. The Hornets will also be a Division 4 school in 2025.
Division 4 and Division 7 have the largest contingent of Greater Lansing football teams for 2025. The area has nine teams that will try to make the playoffs in Division 4 and eight in Division 7.
Here is a look at the divisions area football programs will be competing in for the 2025 postseason. There are 24 area teams chasing playoff returns, which includes 2024 state runners-up Lansing Catholic (Division 6) and Morrice (8-man Division 2).
