Senator Josh Hawley questioning FAA Administrator
Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) has introduced legislation aimed at repealing GOP-backed Medicaid cuts, expressing concern over their potential impact on state budgets and the viability of rural hospitals. His bill aims not only to reverse the new restrictions but also to significantly increase support for rural healthcare by doubling hospital funding to $100 billion. Hawley argued that preserving access to care in underserved communities should be a bipartisan priority.

Hawley said, “President Trump has always said we have to protect Medicaid for working people. Now is the time to prevent any future cuts to Medicaid from going into effect.” He added, “I want to see Medicaid reductions stopped and rural hospitals fully funded permanently.”
