Nina Dobrev's Ethereal Princess Gown Is Straight Out of a Fairytale

The perfect ballgown for the ballet.

  • Nina Dobrev attended the New York City Ballet 2025 Spring Gala at Lincoln Center on May 8.
  • Her pale blush pink floral gown was like something straight out of a fairytale.
  • Dobrev walked the carpet solo after announcing her engagement to Shaun White last October.

Nina Dobrev stepped out for the Spring Gala at the New York City Ballet's Lincoln Center last night, May 8, and she looked nothing short of regal. The Vampire Diaries actress wore a princess gown for the occasion and, honestly, she looks like she just stepped out of an animated Disney fairytale.

Styled by Kate Young and Natalie Page Gilhool, Dobrev's strapless blush pink gown from Nardos' spring/summer 2025 eveningwear collection was made with layer upon layer of sheer fabric embroidered with a pink floral design. The fitted bodice gave way to a voluminous bell-shaped skirt that trailed behind Dobrev. She paired the glamorous gown with a pair of statement silver earrings, a few silver rings, and a silver box clutch. She wore her hair in a curled updo with curtain bangs framing her face, courtesy of hair stylist Dawson Hiegert. Kale Teter provided her rosy fresh makeup look.

During her appearance, she praised the art form, saying, “You can see the precision that goes into every step, but the dancers make it feel so effortless. It’s a beautiful paradox.”

Claire Danes, Ariana De Bose, and Diane Kruger were also amongst the guests.

Dobrev's balletic ballgown comes after the actress announced her engagement to former snowboarder and skateboarder Shaun White last October. The pair made their red carpet debut as an engaged couple the following month at the Earthshot Prize Awards. More recently, the pair stepped out together for the David Yurman Miami store opening—they posed together before White stepped back and took a picture of his fiancée on the red carpet.
