'She is a new pal'
Liam appeared to place Pamela firmly in the friend zone in a recent interview with the Irish Independent, calling her a 'new pal'. He praised her work ethic during filming and made it out that they had grown close on set, simply saying: 'I am very fond of her.'
The Ballymena actor said: 'She was very, very funny, and absolutely wonderful to work with. I was aware of who Pamela is. I never watched Baywatch, but I was aware of it, of course. It was a worldwide phenomenon of a TV show. When I met her, there were no airs and graces; she was totally committed to the work and the character.

'She was usually the first of the actors on set every morning, and just a delight to work with. An absolute delight. I am very fond of her, she is a new pal. And she is hilarious in the film – very, very funny.'
'This tour has been full of so much love'
As the European promo tour for The Naked Gun wrapped, Pamela shared a roundup on social media of all her favourite moments... with one video grabbing the attention of fans as they spotted some undeniable chemistry between Liam and Pam.

The actors were seen messing around on a boat as they recreated the 'I'm flying' scene between Jack and Rose from Titanic with Pam standing with her arms outstretched as Liam held her waist.
The Baywatch star wrote: 'From London to Berlin… this tour has been full of smiles, laughter, and so much love... Thank you to everyone who came out to giggle with us (and watch on the big screen). NYC next!'
'You can't help but fall in love with Liam'
The chemistry appeared to have been there from day one as Pamela admitted that she was 'shaking' the first time she met Liam, and also admitted: 'You can't help but fall in love with Liam.'
Speaking in a behind-the-scenes video about Liam, she said: 'He's had such an incredible career, starting in theatre and just kind of being part of this acting royalty, from Schindler's List and all the other films he's done. So, it was intimidating.

'I was afraid to meet him. I was literally shaking the first day I came to rehearse our first scene. But once we got going… I mean, he's such a gentleman. He's such a sweetheart, and he's so giving and generous and was so complimentary and supportive.'
'I have a friend forever in Liam'
However, despite saying she 'fell in love' with Liam, she described their connection as more of a fun friendship to Entertainment Weekly, saying: 'I think I have a friend forever in Liam.
'We definitely have a connection that is very sincere, very loving, and he's a good guy. He really is a silly guy. He acts like a silly little boy sometimes.'

'I'm madly in love with her'
Meanwhile, back in October 2024, Liam told People: 'I'm madly in love with her. She’s just terrific to work with. I can’t compliment her enough, I’ll be honest with you.
'No huge ego. She just comes in to do the work. She's funny and so easy to work with. She's going to be terrific in the film.'
So what do you think? Is this a case of true love or just really good promo for their movie?
