Will there be a season two of Untamed after Netflix success?
Jaw-dropping scenery, a shocking murder, and a star-studded cast. What more could you want in a thriller? Well, nothing, if you ask viewers who have binged Untamed in days.
Netflix's latest crime thriller is set in Yosemite National Park in California and follows agent Kyle Turner, played by Eric Bana, as he investigates a death with rookie Naya Vasquez, Lily Santiago's character.
Although the last episode wrapped up the first season's storyline, both the cast and the team have expressed hope of returning to the screen. So, will there be a season two?

What has the cast said?
In an interview with Variety, Eric said: 'We spoke about what would happen to Kyle after this, in theory. So you never know.' He went on to say that season two is still uncertain, as national park agents move around frequently, so it could be a thing where we see season two in a different location.
Speaking to TV Insider, Eric remarked: 'It was so encompassing, but obviously we knew that the nature of his job is that these ISB agents do get moved around from park to park, which is why the ending is the way that it is because that is a very feasible thing and it was part of the story structure.

'So yeah, I guess it’s always possible, but it wasn’t something that we structurally played with whilst putting these episodes together.'
Eric's co-star Lily Santiago said she would love for a second season to see her character grow. 'I want so much for her. I really do love her growing comfort in the wilderness.
'I’m hoping that it’s new murder, new location, wilderness challenges, and new things to learn because I really love Naya’s mind. I love watching how she figures out new terrain,' she said.

Creator of the show Mark L. Smith told Netflix's Tudum that if there is a second series of Untamed, agent Turner will be out of sorts and will have a whole new set of challenges ahead of him.
He said: 'Instead of Turner being in his element, he’ll be in a land where he doesn’t understand all the dangers and the risks, and he doesn’t understand the people around him.
'He’ll be a little bit on his back foot and a little bit unsure, and he’ll have to learn as well.'
Viewers want a second season
Since Untamed dropped on Netflix in July, viewers have binged the show with many hailing it the best new crime thriller in years.

Great news thriller fans, there will be a second season of Untamed!
Netflix confirmed on Tuesday that the show has been renewed. 'Untamed, starring Eric Bana, has been renewed for Season 2,' the streamer said on X.
They continued: 'Season 1, following a National Park Service special agent working to enforce human law inside Yosemite's vast wilderness, is now playing.'
