iPhone 17 Launch TimelineApple is set to unveil the iPhone 17 series globally in early September 2025, with event dates likely around September 9 or 10. The lineup will include iPhone 17, 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max, and the new slim iPhone 17 Air replacing the Plus model.
iPhone 17 Series Display and Design Display sizes will stay close to current models: iPhone 17 Pro (6.3-inch), Pro Max (6.9-inch), and iPhone 17 Air positioned between them. The standard iPhone 17 could grow to 6.3 inches, matching the Pro.
iPhone 17 Air Positioning Initially thought to be premium-priced, the iPhone 17 Air is now expected as a mid-range device, more affordable than the Pro models but pricier than the standard iPhone 17, effectively replacing the “Plus” option.
Display Features All models will likely feature ProMotion 120Hz refresh rates enabled by LTPO OLED panels for smoother visuals. Always-on display may remain exclusive to Pro models.
Build and Camera Bump Pro models may switch to a half-aluminium, half-glass frame for durability. The new design introduces a horizontal pill-shaped camera bump, with the iPhone 17 Air adopting this style too.
Processor and Performance The lineup will be powered by the A19 Pro chip, built on TSMC’s 3nm process for faster performance and better efficiency. For the first time, iPhones could feature up to 12GB RAM, enhancing multitasking and AI features.
Camera Upgrades All models will get a 24MP front camera, doubling last generation’s 12MP sensor. The Pro Max will feature three 48MP rear cameras, including a new Tetraprism Telephoto lens, with 8K video recording support.
iPhone 17 Expected Prices in India The iPhone 17 Pro is estimated around Rs 1,45,990, and the Pro Max around Rs 1,64,990. The iPhone 17 Air and standard model pricing will likely fall below these.
