U.S. Coast Guard Barque Eagle
- Friday, August 15 to Sunday, August 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- The U.S. Coast Guard Barque Eagle has returned to San Diego and will be open for public tours beginning Friday.
- At 295 feet in length, with more than 22,300 square feet of sail and six miles of rigging, the Eagle was a war reparation for the United States following World War II.
- San Diego marks the 12th port call of the Eagle's journey along the West Coast since last moored in the city in 2008.

28th Annual Chula Vista Lemon Festival
- Saturday, August 16, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- The 28th Annual Lemon Festival will return to Downtown Chula Vista on Saturday, bringing the community together for a celebration of Chula Vista's citrus legacy.
- The free celebration will be held at Third Avenue and Memorial Park in Downtown Chula Vista.
- This year’s Lemon Festival will include live music, zesty photo-ops, competitions, a wine and beer garden, a kids zone, arts and crafts vendors and multiple food vendors.

22nd Annual Summergrass San Diego
- Friday, August 15 to Sunday, August 17.
- Summergrass will bring bluegrass music to the Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum in Vista.
- The event will bring artists such as John Moore and Friends, Rick Faris, Brian Wicklund, Todd Phillips, Jens Kruger, and others to the main stage.
- There will also be music and craft vendors, raffles, workshops, and dry camping.

San Diego Dark Sky Festival
- Saturday, August 16 from 3 to 11 p.m.
- The festival will be held in Julian, California, and will celebrate the Perseid meteor shower.
- On Saturday night, the moonless night sky will reveal shooting stars, glowing planets, the Milky Way, and near-perfect conditions for stargazing.
- The free, family-friendly event will be held at the Menghini Winery.
